Happy Birthday Brielle!

My baby is 2!! She is so big! This girl is so fun and had brought so much joy and laughter into our home. She talks so well that I just cant believe it! Full, clear sentences! Its so fun and she says the funniest things! She is crazy and wild and acts like a little boy sometimes! She isnt afraid to get dirty and is always climbing and jumping off stuff. She plays rough and is just a little tornando! She runs everywhere and is so busy all the time! She never slows down! (Merrills word were hell on wheels! haha!) She is so smart and can already sing the abc's and count to 10 and spell her name...well atleast Bri. We just love this girl!! For her party we had a luau at the splash pad. She loved it! We all had fun. She loved opening presents and loved it when anyone would sing happy birthday. All morning she kept saying "mommy sing it..macie sing it!" she would even sing it to herself! and the whole week before her bday we would ask her "who's bday is it going to be?" and she would say "my happy bday!" We love you Bri and are so happy you are part of our family!

She really graduates this time! this is her 3rd year of preschool but graduation really meant something this time! She is all done with preschool! And I am freakin out! AGHH! I cant stand the thought of kindergarden! She is so ready, but I am NOT!! I want to keep her home forever! I love you macie and am so proud of you! Macie had her very first competition last month. She has been in dance for 3 years now and has had recitals but this was the first competition. And I have to say...What am i getting myself in to? Seriously! I did cometitions when I was young but it is totally different on the other side! My dad let me know I was officially a drill team mom! AGHHH! It was fun, just hectic. They did 2 dances and did really well. Macie smiled so big and did great. I asked her if she got nervous in front of all of those people and she looked at me like i was stupid and said "uh..no!" haha!! She is truely a performer. She also reminded us to make sure and get her some flowers! She won a trophy and she was so proud of herself and we were so proud of her too! She had a lot of people cheering for her..Grandma, Grandpa, Aunt Rikelle, Aunt Larissa, Aunt Bobbie, Uncle Butch, Aunt Jen, Grandma Lesli, Mom, Dad, and Bri. We were so happy to see so much love and support from our family. It meant the world to macie and to us! We love you all!

We decided to put Bri in a big girl bed. I was really nervous because I have always just put her to bed awake and she will roll around and play in her crib until she falls asleep. i was sure we were going to have a few rough nights and rough nap times. This girl has not been easy with any transition so I just knew this would be difficult. But she surprised me! She has done so well! She has not gotton out of it once! Even at nap time! I am so relieved! Wheeew!

This is a hard one! I just cannot believe my baby is 5! Where did the time go? I get teary eyed just thinking about it! She is such a big girl! She is so smart and so independant. She is so beautiful and I cant imagine my life without her! For her bday party I took her and her friends to my work(the paul mitchell school) and they got their nails, toes , and hair done and then got to perform on the stage...soooo macie! They loved it! Macie told me she was the lead singer cuz it was her bday so we had to take her microphone and she rocked it like a true rock star! They had the whole core class of like 20 people come and whach and she sand and danced sooo hard! She is so funny! They all cheered and clapped and she loooved it! I know I say this all the time but she is going to be a super star!! She is meant to be a performer! I thought with all those people whaching she might get nervous but she didnt skip a beat! I love this girl!!!

We had a wonderful christmas! We stayed home and my parents came christmas day. We were so happy to have them here! It was so much fun! The girls had a blast! Once again we headed to orangeville for halloween! We love to go up cuz we know everyone and it is fun to spend it with grandma and grandpa. This year, for the first time, Merrill was able to come with us! So merrill and I, and grandma and Rikelle took the kids trick or treating! It was so fun! It is a miracle we got pictures! I left my camera home and so i borrowed my moms and somehow while we were in and out of the car we lost it! We are so lucky someone in my parents ward found it and returned it to us at church! Yay! Anyways...this year macie wanted to be a witch but not the mean kind! So leave it to us to make a witch look so cute! Haha! And we know every witch needs a black cat!

Macie had her first priamary program a couple weeks ago. She was so exited about it! She loves this kind of thing...anything where she can perform and have people whach her. She loves to perform and did she ever! I could hear her voice all the way in the back! She knew every word to every song and sang them loud! she had a smile on her face and her head held high the whole time! She also did very good in her speaking part. I swear this girl is going to be famous one day!

I know this wont mean a lot to most of you but as a hairdresser this is soooo cool! today at work (the paul mitchell school) we had some really cool guests! Winn and George! They are like super stars in the industry! Winn is the founder and co owner of the Paul Mitchell schools. He is a modevational speaker and is sooooo amazing! I got to sit and listen to his speech this morning and then this afternoon George took the floor. he was hilarious and so much fun to listen to and whach. He talked a lot about the industry and did a couple haircuts for us. George owns some of the schools and owns a lot of salons...loonatic fringe if anyone knows of them. He is so good at what he does! He has a celebrity clintele that you wouldnt believe! I learned so much from both of them and really felt uplifted and inspired! I cant believe I got paid for this!!

I just love my family! The girls are so cute and sweet and Merrill is just amazing! He is the best dad! He plays so cute with them! he gives them horse back rides around the house. Brielle holds on to Macie for dear life and they just have a ball! I asked "Where are you going on that horse?" and Macie said "New York City!" haha! She is al about the New york City thing since the hannah montana movie. We were getting out of the car one day and she stepped out and yelled "Hello new york!" just like hannah does on the movie! it was too funny! I really feel so lucky to have such a great family who love me and I love them!

Here is the latest on the house. It is so close to being done. We cant even go inside cuz they are locking it up. It has all the cabinents and countertops and toilets and light fixtures and tile. I think all that is left is door knobs, carpet and landscaping. Im so exited!

Update on the house

The house is moving so fast! One day it was a cement slab and a week later we got a house! One day they framed most of it, the next day they finished framing, the day after that the had walls up, then a roof! Wow! Next week they will start the dry wall. We had our walk through meeting last thursday and they showed us all the electrical stuff and all that boring jibber jabber and he kept asking "do you have any questions?" so finally macie said "I have a question! When is my room going to be done?!" I think it is moving so fast but for a kid a couple months is an eternity! She is so exited to get a new house and a new room. We turned in all our final picks so I hope it looks okay when its done! I keep second guessing myself but I think it will work out!

It was a bit much for Bri!

Last weekend we went to the Sitterud reunion (my moms family). It was so fun to see everyone! We have always been a close family but now that we are all older and have families of our own and live all over the place, it is hard to keep up with everyone. It was so fun to see everyones kids and what they are doing. We went up to joes valley and we spent the day playing games and visiting and just having fun together. Macie loved all the little cousins and playing in the mountains! Thanks for a good time everyone!

Our New House!

They have officially started building our new house! We are so exited! It is suposed to be done in October. It has consumed our lives! I have been to the design center a milion times trying to figure out what I want! Not to mention the lighting place, the appliance place, the plumbing place and the list goes on and on! It had been a little overwhelming but so fun too. Merrill is like a kid at xmas! There isnt a day that goes by that he doesnt drive past the lot atleast once. His work is close by so he will drive over on his lunch and like a stalker sit and whach them work on it! haha! He is too funny. This is what it looked like 2 days ago and yesterday they started framing it! Next week we will post that when the framing is done. It is fun to whach it in progress! For us anyway...this might be totally boring to all of you!

We had a fun 4th. We went to the park which was rediculously hot! We let Macie play for awhile before we called it quits! She got to ride the swings and the train and play on the big bounce slide. We tried to cool off with a snow cone but that didnt work too well. We went to our friends house for a bbq and swimming and then headed to the fireworks. They had music and macie loved dancing and singing along (of course!). Brielle didnt like how loud the fireworks were! So merrill plugged her ears and then she loved it! We came home after the fireworks and did a few of our own. cant have a 4th of July without sparklers! it was a fun day with the fam!

It is really getting hot here! It has been such a mild summer so far but it just is kicking in! We decided to play in the water to cool off. And this little monkey Brielle can climb from the bottom of the slide all the way to the top and turn around and slide down! She is so wild! She did so good with her parts and singing all the songs. She has loved preschool and has learned so much! She is such a smart girl! We are proud of you Macie and love you so much!

Today Merrill and I celabrated our 7 year anniversary! Wow! Are we old married folks or what!? It has really been the best 7 years! I feel like I have the sweetest, best husband ever! He is absolutly my perfect match! I dont know what I ever did to deserve such a wonderful husband and father to my kids! We are so lucky to have him in our lives! He is the best! I love you babe! My baby is one! I just cannot believe how fast time goes! She is walking all over the place and it makes her seem so big! I swear it happened over night! This is such a fun age! She has such a fun personality and pulls the cutest faces that just light up my day! She is copying everything we do and is so funny. We have so enjoyed this last year whaching her grow and she has brought so much joy into our home ! We love you so much Bri! So anyway...for her bday we had a little party friday night with the fam and did cake which she loved as you can see and opened presents. Saturday we had another party with some of our good friends at the park. We roasted hotdogs and did cake again! And more presents! She had a blast! Then that night we drove to Delta because Steve was blessing his baby on sunday and Larissa made her another cake! So 3 cakes in 2 days! Not bad eh?! We had so much fun! Happy birthday sweet briz!!

Macie had her dance recital about a week ago. She was so cute! She is getting to be such a good little dancer. They even got to dance with their dads for part of it! It was so cute! i got a little teary! She thought she was the best one of course and she was mad at me because i didnt get her a flower with treats like some people did! She told me to remember to get her some for the finale and to write it down so i wouldnt forget! I told her that was the finale and she fought with me forever about it until finally she said "you will see mom!" She is NEVER wrong! I told Merrill we better get her some flowers and a treat for her preschool graduation to make up for it!

Brielle has finally decided to try and walk! For a long time we would stand her up but she wasnt interested at all and would just sit down and crawl away. But she is now atleast trying! Easter was so much fun! We stayed in St. George so it was just us.The Easter bunny left lots of candy and left an egg trail that led to the back yard where he left a swing set! Yay! Macie was so exited!She turned to Merrill and said "This is CRAZY!" She has been on it non stop ever since! Brielle loved to find the candy! I wouldnt give her any so she got a hold of a candy bar and with the wrapper still on she sucked and sucked until there was chocolote everywhere! We had a BBQ with Merrills step brother and his girlfriend Jen and Merrills mom. It was a really fun day!

My mom is always telling me how I need to write down all the funny and sweet things Macie does and says. This is a good place to keep track of all of those things. So this is for me so I will remember in years to come. Today during the sacrement Macie leaned over and said "Mom, Heavenly Father and Jesus are talking to me right now." I said "really?" and she said "Yeah..I can feel it in my heart." I thought that was the sweetest thing! I have always felt like Macie is such a strong sweet spirit. She is so drawn to Jesus and anything about him. Merrills mom had the reflections of Christ DVD and she put it on for Macie and she sat and whached it over and over and over without moving an inch! She is so inthrawled by Him and I feel like she has such a connection to Him. She teaches me so much! Sometimes during sacrement I am just wrestling the baby or trying to keep both of them quiet that I forget to let Heavenly Father and Jesus speak to my heart. She is my greatest example and I feel so blessed that she is mine. I really feel like Heavenly Father sent her for me to teach me and help me. Im sure it will be the same with Brielle. They are my greatest joy and I am so happy they were sent to me!

So I really really really hate it when my kids are messy and dirty! It just makes me crazy! Well Brielle LOVES to eat and loves to feed herself so what can ya do? She is so funny about food! If we are eating she is right up in our faces begging for whatever we have! She is a bottomless pit and that is wierd for us because macie is such a bird when it comes to eating. This week for preschool they had Dr Suess week. So wednesday They were supposed to dress up like Who's. Macie loves the Grinch movie so she wanted to look just like Cindy Lou Who. This was my attempt at it! She looked so cute! Friday was crazy foot day so they got to wear silly socks or slippers. It was so much fun for them!

A couple weeks ago we went to delta to see merrills dad, Steven and Leslie, and Natalie. It was a quick trip but we had fun. First things first...we headed straight to Leos for a Delta burger! We hung out with merrills dad saturday afternoon then headed to Steves and stayed there till sunday afternoon. The kids had a ball of course. We got to see Natalie on our way out and her cute new puppy! We were so happy to be able to see everyone!

I cant believe my macie is 4! She is so big! We had a fun bday party for her. It was a tea party and fashion show. On the invitation i told them to come dressed up. When they got here I had make up and all kinds of jewlery and crowns for them to get all fancied up. They had fun getting ready then they hit the runway! It was the cutest thing! They struted their stuff! We had music on and macie hammed it up! She walked/danced down the runway and then got on the stage and posed so good! She loved it! when everyone had gone i asked her if she wanted to go again and she said "Oh yeah!" Then we danced for awhile then had a tea party. Macie got to blow out her candles and open presents from her friends. It was so fun! Later when her dad got home we went to dinner and came home for cake and more presents. She was so sad when it was time for bed because she didnt want her bday to be over!

Macie is finally a sunbeam. She missed it by 2 weeks last year so she was getting so bored with nusery. She acually like being mother hen to all the little ones! But we are so glad she is in primary now! She loves it! The first day she got up as soon as the prayer was over and was gone! I went to the primary room and she was sitting so big in her seat! She knew where to go because they showed them the day before. She has been singing primary songs non stop! We love it!

December has been such a busy month and I havnt done very good at keeping this updated so this is a ton of stuff all at once! We had such a fun Christmas! Macie was a blast this year! She was so stoked on christmas eve when she got her high school musical pj's! I thought she would never go to sleep! She got everything she wanted! even her ipod! One of the ladies at my work asked her if she got her ipod and she said "well yeah! I told santa I wanted it!" So now she thinks that is all it takes...just tell him ya want it! If that is the case I think I need to talk to Santa next year! HaHa! We had a blast and I hope you all did too!

We had a get together with the fam since we dont get to be together for christmas. We had a fun time. The kids acted out the first christmas and exchanged gifts. They also got presents from one of santas elves and a note from santa so that was cool. It was good to see everyone and i had a great time!

Macie had her Christmas program on the 19th. They did Christmas around the world. Her part was Itlay. She did so good as usaul. She is so good at memorizing. They performed it at the rest home during the day and at her teachers house that night. It was so cute!

I could not believe it! I have never seen it snow like this in St.George! I was just commenting on Bridgetts blog of her girls playing in the snow saying how my girls never get to do that! Well I spoke too soon! I had to search the house for gloves and then had to put 3 jackets on her cuz thats all we ususally need here! It was a lot of fun for Macie. It melted fast too and that is what I like. I had to laugh when they cancelled school because of a few inches! We are back up to the 50's now and loving it!

We took the girls to see santa and Macie was so worried..who knows why cuz she cant stop talking about him! Anyway..I told her to be brave so Bri would be brave so she was a good big sis and was so brave! I thought Brielle would freak because she is kinda starting the stranger anxiety thing but she did awsome! She stared at him for awhile and then smiled so big for the pic. Im sure its because of her brave big sister! Macie told santa she wanted an ipod, makeup, and a guitar! Is she 4 or 14? She wants to be just like aunt Rikelle so im sure that has something to do with it! You should have seen the look on santa's face! I dont think he dared promise it to her! He told her "thats a big gift..we will have to see!" Im sure he will come through!

It was my 28th birthday on the 4th. I did my favorite thing that day...hung out with my girls! Merrill called the radio station and had them wish me a happy birthday on the air. We went to dinner that night and then came home for cake. It was a nice day. I cant believe I am 28!

I got Brielles ears pierced the other day. It is so cute! She was so good! They had 2 people working so they did it all at once. She cried pretty hard but just for a sec. I fixed her a bottle and she was fine after that. I have taken some crap from people who think it is mean but I think the younger the better. I did macies at this age too and she never even bothered them. in fact macie is so used to seeing hers there that when we were doing bri's she told me she wanted her ears pierced too! So for anyone who thinks it is mean...they dont even remember! And it is stinkin cute!

We feel so thankful for our 2 beautiful girls. They are so sweet and bring so much happiness into our lives. At this thanksgiving time we count our blessings and are so thankful for all that we have. We are so blessed!

We just had pictures done because Bri is 6 months old and we still have not got a family picture with her. She is usually so smiley but of course we couldnt get one out of her for pictures. She still looks adorable! And Macie is our little model! She is such a poser! She loves having her picture taken and obviously the camera loves her!
